After a great first day, it was time for a full 12 hours of surf groups from all over the globe.

This was my second year at SG101 and tell ya right off the bat: it's a ton of fun and if you've ever thought about going you should go.
Had a huge boatload of new-to-the-show stuff and actually ran out of time to play all of it! Some brand new stuff from Bande de los Apaches, The Men in Gray Suits, Los Apollos, Los Ultraman, The Mystery Men, and Surfyer!
This will be my second year at the biggest US surf event: the Surfguitar 101 Convention in Torrance, CA.
I'm sure a lot of y'all have seen that viral video of a guy playing metal songs without distortion only to reveal surf songs underneath. I'm sure somebody thought what many have yelled "Play some Slayer". And here we are: Reign in Blood, done as a surf record, with a crudely drawn, crudely conceived band name "Surfyer". I love it.
