Kenny Ahern's surf bagpipe covers have restored my faith in the internet

Youtube video:

For nearly two years, Kenny Ahern has been pumping out covers of surf songs with the main melody on bagpipes and putting them on Youtube. The joke isn't lost on him, and like all of us endeavoring to do something stupid, he pushes the stupidity as far as he can, creating elaborate backgrounds and wearing outlandish costumes (usually half related to the song and half some form of scottish garb) while he otherwise plainly presents his craft.

Now that the internet is mostly clickbait and ads, it's SO refreshing to see the sort of weird stuff that you never would have seen without the internet. Kenny would likely never have found an audience (then again, jazzy bagpipist  did alright), and with each video at less than 1000 views he's not exactly the next Gagnam style, but his hard work is at least reaching you and me.

He's not limited to surf by any means: there's a cover of the Easybeats' , Yardbirds, the theme to Titanic... but so far roughly half of them are instro classics.
